Webinars are courses that have been developed through software such as PowerPoint and then this is loaded into a web casting or webinar delivery software. Professional Development Solutions is using a delivery software called Adobe Connect. It requires high speed internet to be successful. Students register for a course, come online live at the same time as other students and the instructor. Then the instructor delivers the seminar live over the internet to your computer. Students can be interactive and ask question either via a microphone or chat box. It is like attending an educational seminar without having to leave your office or home. The webinars are recorded and made available under certain conditions to students that were unable to attend the live version.
